Balloon ride over Fowlescombe - with aerial shots

August 2004

My son Robert hired the Virgin Balloon, piloted by Richard Prowse, for a party of friends to celebrate his birthday. Here are some of the photographs

Another shot of Fowlescombe from the air We landed safely and poised for the shot

March 2001

In 2001 Richard and Robert took a balloon flight over the estate. Richard Prowse is the local balloon pilot that took us up. Here are some pictures.

A blaze, and we are off.

And up to 100 meters very quickly

Up, up and away

Over the hill to see the farm house. Note the new plantation of below on Orchard Field

Farm house showing the old grey barn opposite the garage. That has now been removed

Detail of the house - notice the kitchen is below the steel roof

Original appearance would have been very similar, expect the dorma windows have a curved roof and glass on the sides to see the views up and down the valley

The old stables was very over grown. We have stripped off the ivy and rebuilt it. Here it is just before the replacement roof went on. Now used for horses and sheep in the winter

View that shows the stables and whole barn complex

Five minutes later we cut a great view of Ugborough. Notice the beautiful church
