History Group Xmas evening 2006
With Margaret Duffy singing the Fowlescombe Song

For the past few years we have been delighted to host the History Groups Christmas evening. Everyone brings food and drink, and we always have an excellent local group or individual to entertain us. This year we were delighted to welcome back Margaret Duffy. She sang and told stories / poems for around 90 minutes before dinner. It was delightful. The highlight was a song she composed, based on the Huntsman at Fowlescombe who lost his life one dangerous night - click here for details and click on the grey music panel below to hear the track.

To hear the song about Fowlescombe on the grey music bar above, by kind permission of the composer. (please allow a few second for it to start, and stay on the page to hear the whole track) To buy a copy of the excellent CD by Margaret Duffy, the composer, please click here
