In summer 2009 we bought four weaners - two boars and two sows to act as conservation graziers for parts of the estate. Their first job was to clear the historic walled gardens of scrub, to enable us to use them for vegetable production and to renovate the walls. We are wondering about breeding from them when they are old enough.. In March 2010 we sent off the largest of them to see how good the bacon etc will be.
