Winter can be a lovely time. Yes, we do get lots of rain, which we need to fill up the ponds, springs and rivers and of course bring on the winter crops and grassland. In between the weather can by truly amazing. One of our favourite times is to walk on the hills above the valley and enjoy the migrant birds feeding off our winter stubble. Without the leaves on the trees, you get different views.
